Alloy Anodizing

Anodizing, or anodising is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.

Subsidiaries within the SEG company produce high quality anodizing designed to withstand the most extreme marine environments. Our Anodic films are designed for marine and can include various cosmetic color effects, and low dull coatings that reflect light. SEG employs processes to anodize both aluminum and titanium alloys.

Titanium can be alloyed with iron, aluminum, vanadium, and other elements, to produce strong lightweight alloys for aerospace (jet engines, missiles, and spacecraft), marine, Industrial and other applications.

The two most useful properties of the metal form are corrosion resistance and the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal.
